Allelopathic Effect of Leaf Leachates of Mulberry (Morus alba) on Growth and Yield of Brinjal (Solanum melongena)

An experiment was carried out to assess the allelopathic effect of leaf leaches Morus alba on growth and yield Brinjal. Leaf were prepared by soaking sun dry leaves in tap water for 24 Hours a ratio 1:10 (w/v). Various concentrations leashes (25, 50, 75 100%) prepared. The result showed that concentration plays an important inhibitory role germination, shoot root brinjal. During laboratory experiment, seeds soaked different germination percentage, length observed. After it noticed seed 25% lashes has better results than higher concentrations. In pot culture control have good effects brinjal as compared concentration. Lower (25 50%) beneficial (75 100%). At lower leachates, survival percentage crops more 100% It can be concluded harmful less recommended avoid its use early stages crops.
